ImaginaSom: Social inclusion with music
"Creation of the “ImaginaSom” Music Center, designed to carry out musical, educational and cultural activities aimed at visually impaired people (blind, low vision, deafblind and multi-handicapped - who have two or more primary disabilities: mental, visual, hearing and physical), served at the ICB, as well as their families, community in general and partners.
Currently, music classes are held in an unsafe location, with reduced access for those with visual and physical impairments, without sound insulation, and even with the ceiling potentially collapsing. Funding this project will allow ICB to expand its scope of action, providing the community at large with the opportunity to enjoy musical performances by people with visual impairments in public spaces, generating a significant social impact, enriching their experiences, and, consequently, expanding their life repertoire. An adequate and well-equipped space represents a leap forward in the rehabilitation process of people with visual impairments.
