Paloma Alonso joins CEPSA with 23 years of experience in the Petrochemical Industry, all of them at Dow, where she held major commercial and business roles managing the Hydrocarbons business as well as end markets like Polyolefins, Polycarbonate and Acrylic Coatings amongst many other. Exposed to value chains from Food Packaging and Consumer industries, to Infrastructure, Paloma has lived in 3 continents and operated global roles.
Before joining Cepsa, Paloma was Dow’s Global Aromatics Business Director, European Hydrocarbons Director, and board member in Petrochemicals Europe (part of CEFIC), based out of Zurich (Switzerland). Prior to that she was the Latin America Commercial Vice President for Polyolefins, based out of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and the Global C4 and Comonomer Director based out of Houston (US).
Her earlier career was in Europe, holding several roles, as the Commercial Manager for Dow’s Ibérica Cracker, European Sales, Market and Product Director roles in Polycarbonate, with marked exposure to Asia and mainly Korea and Japan.
She started in 1997 in Madrid, as technical sales of Engineering Plastics to a diversity of industries, and is a Mining Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid with a Masters degree in Advanced Technology in Petrochemicals, Polymers & Plastics from the French Oil Institute (IFP, Paris, France) in partnership with McGill University (Montreal, Canada).
She is a Member of the Board of Trustees of Fundación Cepsa since December 2020.
