- Moeve volunteers have participated in environmental awareness and inclusion activities organized in collaboration with the social organizations Atelsam, Envera, and Afanes Canarias, as well as the CEIP Punta del Hidalgo
As part of the month marking World Environment Day, this annual initiative brought together 50 company professionals for five activities, carried out in collaboration with the social organizations Salud Mental Atelsam, Envera, and Afanes Canarias, as well as with the participation of CEIP Punta del Hidalgo.
This initiative has allowed Moeve volunteers and the service users of the participating organizations to share experiences and spend time together, while also helping to shed light on their reality, recognize their work, and strengthen the support they receive from society.
In Tenerife, volunteers participated in creating terrariums of succulent plants in pots made from recycled bottles, guided by service users of Salud Mental Atelsam. This activity was designed to promote recycling and bring nature into everyday spaces, as well as to provide insight—through firsthand accounts—into the reality and work carried out by this NGO.
Another activity was an inclusive visit to the Palmetum in Santa Cruz with a group of children with disabilities from Afanes Canarias and students from CEIP Punta Hidalgo. The day focused on connecting with nature and protecting the environment, and Moeve volunteers accompanied the group throughout the tour, sharing time and enriching moments with them in this unique botanical garden.
In Gran Canaria, Moeve professionals participated in a kokedama-making workshop alongside a group of people with intellectual disabilities from the Envera Occupational Center on the island. In addition to learning this cultivation technique—which replaces potting with a ball of moss and potting mix—they were able to experience firsthand the work carried out by Envera and share an experience of togetherness and mutual learning with its beneficiaries.
