El Cabildo de Tenerife and Fundación Cepsa distribute 120 energy saving kits

    • to provide mitigation tools to volunteer entities in Tenerife, and through them to families
    • With Tenerife Isla Solidaria’s "Zero Energy Poverty" campaign program
El Cabildo de Tenerife and Fundación Cepsa have distributed 120 energy saving kits to Tenerife volunteer entities, who will distribute them among 90 families in vulnerable situations and at risk of exclusion. The purpose of this initiative is to provide them with efficient tools and energy-saving measures that will allow them to alleviate energy poverty.

From this moment on, information talks on energy efficiency will also begin for entities and user families, taking place at different points on the island, as well as offering advice and support to help them improve their energy consumption habits.

Each kit contains 21 products, such as 4000k LED bulbs, multiple outlet power strips, timer plugs, water faucet atomizers, stiff door seals, and rubber door seals.

The distribution event was attended by the head of Fundación Cepsa in the Canary Islands, Belén Machado, the CEO of the public company, Adal García, the head of the Tenerife Isla Solidaria Program, Beatriz Sicilia, and representation from the Association for the Improvement of the Environment and the Transition towards Renewable Energies (ASMAER), who was responsible for the program.

This initiative has been made possible thanks to an agreement signed between the public company Sinpromi, part of El Cabildo, and Fundación Cepsa, through the Tenerife Isla Solidaria Program as part of the Social Action area of El Cabildo de Tenerife, directed by Águeda Fumero.

The program collaborates with the entity ASMAER (Association for the Improvement of the Environment and Transition to Renewable Energies) to carry out information, training, and support actions for organizations and families.

Furthermore, the goal is to create knowledge and awareness about energy savings and efficiency, promoting more efficient energy management, all in a clean and accessible way to fight against energy poverty and existing energy deficiencies in many Tenerife homes.
