Foundation, and the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid (CEAR Canarias) have been awarded Fundación Moeve's 2025 Social Value Awards in the Islands. The awards announced today were conceived to recognize and promote social initiatives that focus on volunteering, people with intellectual disabilities, and migrants, respectively.

The winning organizations, selected from a pool of 45 candidates, will share a total of €75,000 to develop their projects over the next year. According to their estimates, 2,000 people in the archipelago will benefit directly and another 22,980 indirectly.

Candelaria Delgado, Councilor for Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Children, and Families of the Government of the Canary Islands, chaired the jury, joined by Lola Padrón, the Common Representative; Águeda Fumero, Councilor for Social Action, Citizen Participation, Volunteering, and Inclusion of the Cabildo Tenerife; Isabel Mena, Councilor for Social Policy, Accessibility, Equality, and Diversity of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria; Charín González, Councilor for Social Action and President of the IMAS of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council; Carmen Luz Vargas, Councilor for Social Welfare, Equality, Care, and Health of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council; and Beatriz Sicilia, head of the Tenerife Isla Solidaria program. This jury also included Rosa Santoro, representing Moeve professionals, and Belén Machado, head of Fundación Moeve in the Canary Islands.

Candelaria Delgado stated that "once again, Fundación Moeve promotes the active participation by the employees of its founding company, Moeve, in projects undertaken by organizations that significantly contribute to improving the quality of life of people in vulnerable situations." This in itself is already commendable, because inspiring others to participate in social construction fosters a stronger corporate fabric.

A corporate culture based on empathy, responsibility, and social action, promoting the creation of support networks between the company and its environment, are values that align with those promoted by our Corporate Social Responsibility Network." During her talk on the jury's decision, she pointed out that "needless to say, beyond that aspect, financially supporting these organizations' projects provides a lifeline to truly essential initiatives, such as those that have won in this edition," expressing her "congratulations to everyone not only for achieving it but for continuing to envision a fairer society and more equal islands."

For her part, Belén Machado, after congratulating the winning organizations, noted that "with this edition, our beloved Social Value Awards have now awarded 80 organizations in the Canary Islands throughout their history, all of them deserving not only of financial support to develop or strengthen the much-needed projects they carry out, but also of a fair social recognition. Our awards contribute both things, in addition to involving Moeve's professionals who, by sponsoring the initiatives, propagate solidarity."
