    • Since 2005, the Social Value Awards have allocated approximately four million euros, which have enabled the development of 424 projects aimed at improving the quality of life of more than 65,000 people
Fundación Cepsa has opened the registration period for the 18th edition of its Social Value Awards, which seek to recognize and promote a wide range of social initiatives that champion the inclusion and welfare of underprivileged individuals or groups.

A fair green transition is the core of the entity's strategic lines of action: Social, scientific-educational and environmental support. Therefore, the different juries of these awards will evaluate positively, but not exclusively, that the projects, in addition to being aimed at improving the quality of life of people in vulnerable situations, take into account measures of just ecological transition, such as the promotion of renewable energies, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, protection of biodiversity, the fight against climate change, ecological transition or circular economy, among other aspects.

Fundación Cepsa will award up to 435,000 euros in this edition among the winning projects, with up to 15,000 euros per winning project. These awards are open to social associations in Madrid, the Canary Islands, Huelva, Campo de Gibraltar, Portugal and Colombia, geographical areas in which Cepsa and its Foundation have significant activity and where they have established close ties and relations with the community.

"With the Social Value Awards we want to generate a positive impact on the society around us. From this point of view, at Fundación Cepsa we support the 'Positive Motion' strategy of our founding company and, with the 18th edition of these awards, we especially want to support projects that favor a fair and inclusive ecological transition, an indispensable lever to ensure long-term social welfare".

Cristina Ortiz - director of Fundación Cepsa

Through its Social Value Awards, Fundación Cepsa recognizes the work of different entities that seek to improve the quality of life of a wide variety of groups: socially vulnerable individuals, the unemployed, the sick, people with functional diversity, ethnic minorities, children, teenagers and young adults, the elderly and victims of gender violence, among others. Entities wishing to take part may enter their projects from September 8 through September 28 via the Foundation's website: www.fundacioncepsa.com.

As from November, Fundación Cepsa will announce the decision of each of the local panels, which include representatives from institutions working in the field of social action. Next, Cepsa professionals will choose up to five more winning projects and will also work alongside the participating entities by acting as solidarity sponsors for all aspiring initiatives in the Social Value Awards.

Since it was first held in 2005, these awards have handed out approximately four million euros to promote 424 social initiatives that have improved the quality of life of more than 65,000 people.
