- The cards can be used to buy fuel for the vehicles used by the organization in its charity work in the region
- The donation is part of the Food Bank's Gran Recogida food drive campaign
The head of Fundación Cepsa in Campo de Gibraltar, Estrella Blanco, has made this delivery to the president of the Food Bank, José Serrano, who has stressed the great solidarity of the people of Campo de Gibraltar during this initiative. Serrano has pointed out that the increase in prices has increased the number of families in need of assistance, so he has wanted to make an appeal to all those who want to collaborate with the Campo de Gibraltar Food Bank.
Blanco has highlighted "the enormous work carried out by the Food Bank in the Campo de Gibraltar, attending to more than 17,000 people in vulnerable situations with great effort and dedication, even maintaining this action during very complex times such as the Covid-19 pandemic."
This donation from Fundación Cepsa has its origin in the food drive charity campaign that was organized in November 2023 by the Food Banks of Spain in collaborating supermarkets. Fundación Cepsa has once again maintained its commitment to support this initiative with fuel cards and volunteers.
Fundación Cepsa has been helping to organize the food drive campaigns run in the region for many years. Furthermore, in 2023, the Campo de Gibraltar Food Bank charity project was recognized with the Special Employee Award. This award aims to raise awareness and provide funding to initiatives carried out by organizations and groups that promote social inclusion and improvement, with the winners being the most voted for by professionals in the company.
