- In the 18th edition of these awards, Fundación Cepsa recognized the work of 38 initiatives from Madrid, Canary Islands, Huelva, Campo de Gibraltar, Portugal, and Colombia
- Since its first call, these Awards have distributed nearly 4.5 million euros to promote 462 projects
A total of 328 applications were submitted. The Community of Madrid was the area with the highest participation of entities, with a total of 93 projects; followed by the Canary Islands, with 43; Huelva, 42; and Campo de Gibraltar, 36. In Colombia, 61 proposals were submitted and in Portugal, 53. Among the awarded entities are some that promote a fair ecological transition, a cross-cutting area of the strategic lines at Fundación Cepsa: social, environmental, and scientific-educational.
The award-winning organizations were given a voice at the award ceremony for the Community of Madrid at the Cepsa Tower, the headquarters of the founding company, which was attended by members of the jury, the board of trustees, employees, and sponsors of the initiatives. The event was also attended by Dolores Navarro, General Director of Integration of the Community of Madrid, who congratulated all the award winners: "I want to extend my congratulations to all the awardees for both the generosity of their intent and the incredible results of the initiatives. Thanks to the Social Value Awards, others can know and replicate the unique example of each winning entity, so that their exceptionality becomes contagious and widespread."
Iñigo Díaz de Espada, vice-chairman of Fundación Cepsa, noted: "In each area or country in which we hold these awards, we have juries made up of experts who help us select initiatives that, in addition to improving the quality of life of people in vulnerable situations, take into account measures for a just and inclusive ecological transition."
For her part, Cristina Ortiz, director of Fundación Cepsa, congratulated the award-winning entities and stated: "At Fundación Cepsa, we work throughout the year to generate a positive impact in the communities where we are present. The Social Value Awards are the cornerstone of our foundation and, since the first edition, have improved the lives of more than 73,000 people."
Since its first invitation in 2005, Fundación Cepsa has allocated almost 4.5 million euros and supported a total of 462 projects. In addition, these awards promote solidarity values among Cepsa professionals, who have sponsored projects in this edition through the Cepsa Voluntas corporate volunteer program.
