- In her new role, Teresa Mañueco will empower Fundación Cepsa's activity, focused on promoting a fair and inclusive ecological transition under Cepsa's 2030 Positive Motion strategy
Reporting to Cepsa's CEO and president of Fundación Cepsa, Maarten Wetselaar, Mañueco will take on this new role, replacing Iñigo Diaz de Espada, to lead and strengthen the foundation's initiatives aimed at meeting the challenges of the ecological transition, in the environmental, scientific-educational and social fields, and to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups.
Throughout her professional career, Teresa Mañueco has held various positions of responsibility at Cepsa, most notably as Director of ESG Planning and Development. In this position, she has been the driving force behind the definition of the company's sustainability strategy and the implementation of ESG plans aligned with the 2030 Positive Motion strategy.
In addition, Mañueco has held the position of Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility, where she has been a key figure in designing and carrying out strategies that have boosted the company's visibility.
Following her appointment, Teresa Mañueco said, "it is a point of pride for me to take on the position of vice-president at Fundación Cepsa. Teresa Mañueco holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and has complemented her education with postgraduate programs in key areas such as Lobbying and Advocacy at the Instituto de Empresa Business School (IE) and Digital Business (DIBEX) at ISDI. Her solid academic background and extensive experience in the energy sector and corporate social responsibility make her an ideal leader to advance Fundación Cepsa's commitment to sustainability and social welfare.
