The Fundación Cepsa Chair opens pre-enrollment in the Alumnado 10C program

• Any student in their final year of a bachelor's or master's degree at the University of Huelva may participate in the program
• Pre-registration can be done online here, and all students who register will receive information about the program and its deadlines
• Creativity and teamwork will be an important part of the 2023 training plan

Creativity, teamwork, assertiveness, and emotional intelligence can be learned and improved through training. Those responsible for the Fundación Cepsa Chair at the University of Huelva are convinced of this and, for more than two decades, they have been training Huelva university students in the skills that are in such high demand in today's world of work. The Alumnado 10C program is aimed at all University of Huelva students, and in this edition, it will expand beyond the limits of the on-site program, to maintain contact with those interested in being part of the 2023 edition. Pre-registered students will receive content related to transversal competencies, information on deadlines, and this year's training program.

For Juan Daniel Mozo, director of the Fundación Cepsa Chair, the Alumnado 10C program "is a milestone that was groundbreaking and innovative in 2004, and continues to be so today. Focusing on students’ cross-disciplinary training complements the skills they acquire in university classrooms. And all degrees are welcome."

Narciso Rojas, head of Fundación Cepsa in Huelva, emphasizes that "to be good professionals, we must first be good citizens, and to have good citizens we need to complement young people’s training with all kinds of skills. At the Fundación Cepsa Chair we understand the importance of transversal competencies, which is why we make the free Alumnado 10C program available to the university students of Huelva."

As of today, any student can pre-register quickly and easily on the Alumnado 10C website. After that, they will receive information about the program and content on creativity, innovation, teamwork, etc.

In addition, the Alumnado 10C program reserves some places for internships at Cepsa, with preference for students who have completed the Fundación Cepsa Chair program.

Deadlines for final registration, which as every year will be free of charge, and all related information will be provided to all pre-registrants on the Alumnado 10C website.

The University of Huelva and Cepsa made a groundbreaking and decisive commitment to strengthen graduate employability, so that they would develop not only the competencies specific to their professional context, but also, something that’s fundamental today, a series of transversal or generic competencies that the labor market demanded... and still demands: leadership, teamwork, change management, business culture, problem identification, creativity, project management, communication, etc. Professional competencies are widely applied in people management, it is a key concept in the workplace and the unit of measurement in human resource processes.

In 2004 the project "Alumno 10C” was born. The acronym "10C" summarizes the message. Employability will be greater if, in addition to a good academic record, the student is able to acquire these transversal competencies mentioned above throughout their academic life. In other words, the aim is comprehensive training (hence the 10), which requires a series of competencies (hence the C).

Alumnos 10C activates, strengthens, and facilitates comprehensive training and provides complementary training in specific competencies. In other words, we are looking for students who are technically good in their professional context, but that are also fluent in languages. Those who have computer skills, experience (mobility that is so in demand today) at universities, foundations, or international research centers, who have done internships in companies, that are committed to their organization and to society, and who have social and interpersonal skills, with an entrepreneurial and creative spirit.
