Fundación Cepsa donates fuel cards to Huelva food bank
- Cepsa volunteers and their families took part in the Big Food Bank Collection held in November
- Fundación Cepsa has donated fuel cards to the Huelva Food Bank to buy fuel for the vehicles it uses to carry out its charity work. Fundación Cepsa representative in Huelva, Teresa Millán, presented the fuel cards at the Food Bank’s offices to its president, Juan Manuel Díaz Cabrera, who took the opportunity to tell her about the Food Bank’s work during the year.
This donation was part of the charity campaign to collect food held last November by the Spanish Food Banks. Cepsa staff were involved in the campaign through the Corporate Volunteering Program of Fundación Cepsa, which decided to donate a liter of fuel for every volunteer from the company or their family members who took part in this charity project.
Fundación Cepsa helps organize the food collection campaigns run in Huelva province. One of the charity’s projects was also handed a Social Value Award in 2009. These awards are held every year to contribute to bringing to fruition the charity initiatives run by associations and organizations in Cepsa’s local community in Huelva.
As well as this charitable pledge, Fundación Cepsa and the company’s staff are involved in other volunteering and social action during the year; the aforementioned Social Value Awards being the most well-known of these in Spain and abroad and the first of their kind in Andalusia. Over 12 years, Cepsa has helped to enable over 230 charity projects.
