This Chair was established in 2002 with the aim of promoting training and the development of new knowledge in fields related to energy and the environment. The idea is to keep it constantly updated by adding new information on the sector's latest technological developments.
The UPM Chair is geared toward students in the last two years of their degree, as well as recently qualified engineers and teachers wishing to build on and update their knowledge in their various fields of teaching and research.
This Chair is led by Ramón Rodríguez Pons-Esparver, a professor in the Department of Geology and Mining Technology Engineering at the UPM School of Mining and Energy Engineering. Ramón Rodríguez Pons-Esparver also leads a joint coordination committee composed of seven members from the University and Fundación Cepsa.
