The FUNDACIÓN SAN TELMO, in turn, constitutes, within the San Telmo Business School, the "SUSTAINABILITY AND COMPETITIVENESS CHAIR" with the aim of generating a forum for reflection, contributing to raise awareness, and developing skills and values in the business community to integrate sustainability into companies’ purpose. To help them operationalize sustainability and develop ethical and effective structures and strategies that favor long-term survival through competitiveness.

The Chair has a group of leading companies in sustainability and competitiveness that actively collaborate in its development and the achievement of its objectives. These business men and women and related companies are the ones who, through their representatives, constitute the Advisory Board of the Chair.

SOME PRINCIPLES THAT INSPIRE THE ACTIONS OF THE SUSTAINABILITY AND COMPETITIVENESS CHAIR:

  • To be a forum for strategic and academic reflection to promote the dissemination and integration of sustainability elements in business models.
  • To promote the improvement and consolidation of businesses and institutions through the development of models of sustainability and competitiveness, favoring long-term profitability.
  • To promote partnerships and collaborations among participating companies.
  • To help companies improve the definition of their strategic objectives, mainly in terms of sustainability and competitiveness.
  • To help companies reflect on sectoral and regional interests in the field of sustainability and competitiveness, and on their image in their business, institutional, political and social environment.
  • Write different Case Studies of inspiring or exemplary companies in models of sustainability and competitiveness.
  • Writing and disseminating publications of articles and technical notes.
