Fundación Cepsa Social Value Awards grant more than €380,000 to 35 charitable initiatives

    • Since 2005, these awards have made over 340 social projects a reality in Spain, Portugal, Colombia and Brazil
    • Cepsa employees act as charity sponsors for the competing initiatives and select three of the winning projects

The 15th Social Value Awards edition will help to fund 35 charitable initiatives run by various social organizations in Campo de Gibraltar (Cadiz), Canary Islands, Madrid, the province of Huelva, Portugal, Colombia and Brazil, where Cepsa has major operations and has established close ties with the local communities.

Fundación Cepsa will award more than €380,000 to fund the winning projects, aimed at directly supporting the well-being and inclusion of more than 11,000 people.

The Social Value Awards are the central pillar of Fundación Cepsa's social action initiatives. Since the first awards in 2005, more than 3 million euros have been awarded to help implement 342 initiatives.

The groups benefiting from these Awards are very diverse: sick individuals, the elderly, immigrants, ethnic minorities, youth and teens, disabled people, and more.

As well as supporting the awards and acting as charity sponsors by backing each project, Cepsa employees also select the winners of the Special Employee Award. The winners this year are Asociación de Jóvenes Especiales de Moguer ‘Abriendo Puertas’ of Huelva, Associação Vivo Feliz of Brazil and Fundación del Quemado of Colombia. The Fundación Cepsa will award €32,000 among these projects.
