Fundación Cepsa and Sagrado Corazón School reinforce training in digital skills

    • With support from the Fundación Cepsa, the Sagrado Corazón School in Puente Mayorga will be able to offer digital skill educational workshops for parents and students
    • Fundación Cepsa renews its annual collaboration with the educational center
Fundación Cepsa has finalized its annual collaboration with the primary school in Puente Mayorga-Campamento San Roque, Cadiz, which this year will be aimed at educational workshops for parents and students and purchasing computer equipment.

In a meeting attended by the school’s director, Alberto Castillo, the need for education on digital skills primarily for students’ parents was highlighted. The pandemic has tested the knowledge and computer skills of not only children but also their parents, identifying serious problems with connecting to the Internet to help their children do their homework and continue classes virtually. In addition, several computers have been acquired to add to the school’s equipment so that the students, especially those who are in vulnerable situations, can have computers.

Estrella Blanco, head of the Fundación Cepsa in Campo de Gibraltar, said that “the pandemic has shown that even today there are families lacking in digital skills and without the technological devices that their children now need, and it should be noted that schools often do not have all the necessary material. That is why Fundación Cepsa has focused its efforts on helping to bridge the digital gap.”

For his part, Alberto Castillo has indicated that “we needed the material to be able to attend to all the students and for each student to have an individual device, more so this year that everything must be individualized and materials cannot be shared.”
