Energy Efficiency, a Key Training Focus at Asansull, Backed by the Fundación Moeve Social Value Award

Fundación Moeve recently visited Asansull’s facilities in Sobrevela, La Línea, winner of the 2024 Social Value Award for its Energy Solutions for Senior Life project. This initiative involves launching a training program on energy efficiency alongside the installation of solar panels at the Gómez Ulla Comprehensive Care Center, with the official inauguration scheduled soon.

Thanks to the support of Fundación Moeve volunteers, Asansull has successfully trained several participants in energy efficiency, and they are now leading workshops focused on practical tips to reduce energy consumption.

Meanwhile, Ismael Vaca, General Coordinator of Asansull, noted that through this project, “we’re helping to promote energy sustainability while improving quality of life for older adults and encouraging the active participation of people with intellectual disabilities. Furthermore, the project will have a wide-reaching impact, as the awareness workshops target over 2,250 elderly individuals who receive care at Asansull, and are expected to reach more than 1,140 people, including family members of older adults and professionals.”

The Social Value Awards

These awards are among Fundación Moeve’s most notable initiatives. The aim of the awards is to provide support to individuals, associations, and underprivileged sectors of society so as to foster a spirit of solidarity and promote educational and sustainable development through the involvement of Moeve staff, who sponsor the programs that the associations of the Campo de Gibraltar region submit as candidates to receive the Social Value Awards. The next convocation will be in September 2025.
